ADU: Portland

Portland, Oregon 2022

This auxiliary dwelling unit (ADU) was designed into a backyard next to an alley in North Portland. The skinny and extra long yard space was the result of a seperate lot fragment, that was unbuildable for a single family residence, but was perfect for an ADU. The result was a long wooden vessel extending into the yardscape and a serene, minimalist home.
