ADU: Portland

This auxiliary dwelling unit (ADU) was designed as a minimalist retirement home in the backyard of the owner's daughter. While ultra-efficient and functional, the abundant natural light and meticulously crafted wood detailing create a warm, humane environment that expands out beyond the building envelope into the garden.
